Change DNS Bell ISP

Change DNS on Bell Modem


STEP 1. Access the Bell Modem Admin Panel

  • Connect to the Bell network
    Make sure your computer is connected to the Bell modem (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).

  • Open the modem admin page

  • If you are unsure of your Bell page, type: bell.ac/mymodem it will give you a number which is the same, or similar to the one below.


In your browser go to: http://192.168.2.1

Step 2. Log In

You will see the Bell modem login screen. - click “Modem Login” upper right hand corner.


Password: Look on the modem sticker for one of these labels:


  • Admin Password

  • Modem Access Code

  • Administrator password

It is usually a random alphanumeric code, not the serial number.

It should be similar to: DM243276216039


You will see this screen while it is loading:


STEP 3. Change DNS

Change the DNS Servers

After logging in: 


  • Go to Advanced Tools and Settings

  • Select DNS

  • Select “Manually Specify DNS Information”

  • Enter the DNS servers you want.


Recommended DNS servers:


Primary: 8.8.8.8

Secondary: 8.8.4.4
